Can you go on a cruise holiday when you are pregnant?

Modified on 06 Sep 2023

Yes, in most cases this is not a problem. Cruise lines will generally accept pregnant passengers in their first or second trimester.

However, the cruise lines have a strict policy for pregnant women who are just starting their third trimester. This is due to concerns about possible complications and the possibility of premature birth. Most cruise lines will not accept passengers who have entered or will enter their 24th week of pregnancy at any point during the cruise. The cruise lines have this policy to protect the safety and well-being of mothers and babies.
