My Refund Credit Note expired and I now have a Holiday Refund Note, what does that mean?

Modified on 07 Sep 2023

Your original Refund Credit Note expires 1-year after the issue date. This expiry date is linked to the financial protection from either ABTA or SGR. This does not mean your credit note is no longer valid. Your Holiday Refund Note, if requested, is still valid and you can rebook your holiday at any time. As soon as you rebook your holiday your financial protection is automatically reinstated.

You can request to extend the validity of your Refund Credit note in your My Sunweb account. In your account you will see a button 'Keep credit note or request refund'. When you click on this, follow the steps and we will extend the validity of your Refund Credit note.
