The hotel service charges are tips for the crew working on board. Because you pay with your board pass on board, it is difficult to give a tip. The tips are distributed among the crew in all bars and restaurants, but also the cleaners and all other service-related people behind the scenes.

Think carefully before you decide not to pay the hotel service charge. For the crew, the tip is a welcome extra on top of their salary with which they can do that little bit extra for family and children. They work hard for it and always try to be customer friendly. If you are really dissatisfied with the service, you do not have to pay for it.
