When the cruise ship is safely docked and you are allowed to disembark, this is often announced by the staff. In addition, the daily cruise newspaper often states around what time they expect you to disembark. From that moment, you can choose if you want to go out to explore or want to stay at the cruise ship. Just remember to get back in time if you decide to leave the ship.
