Ryanair - How much luggage is included?

Below you can read what is included on Ryanair flights and what you can book for an extra charge.


Ryanair luggage rules (for travellers aged two and over)


Luggage type

Description

Non-flexible flights

 

Hand luggage

 1 piece of max. 40x30x20cm. This piece must fit under the seat in front of you.

Included

 

Cabin luggage

1 piece of max. 55x40x20cm and 10 kg, such as a small trolley. These are placed in the overhead lockers above the seats.

Not included. Can be booked for an extra charge directly after booking via Ryanair.

 

Checked luggage

Checked luggage for the hold. 

Not included. You can add checked baggage for a fee during booking. After booking, this is only possible via Ryanair, also if you want to add extra kilos. Ryanair determines the price, which may change due to supply and demand. Therefore, you will always see the current price during booking or in the Ryanair self-service. It is not possible to reduce the number of kilos booked or cancel checked baggage free of charge.



Important information

  • If your checked baggage exceeds the weight limit, extra charges apply at the airport.


Ski carriage

If you want to add ski or snowboard carriage, you will have to pay extra. You can book this directly via Ryanair.

The ski carriage bag can weigh a maximum of 20kg. You can only bring one bag. If you want to add an extra bag, you need to pay extra. 


Ski carriage can consist of:

  • 1 pair of skis, 1 pair of boots, 1 pair of poles, ski helmet, or
  • 1 snowboard with 1 pair of boots, ski helmet


Have you booked a transfer via Sunweb? If you are bringing ski carriage, please select “Transfer ski including ski luggage” during the booking steps or in My Sunweb, so that the transfer company is informed that you are ski carriage. You can make this adjustment up to 7 days before departure via My Sunweb.


Luggage rules babies and children


Baby (up to and including 1 year)

  • No hand luggage included, with the exception of a small diaper bag of max. 5kg and 45x35x20cm
  • No checked luggage included
  • You may bring two free items, including: pushchair, buggy, car seat, booster seat or travel cot. It is not possible to take these on board. They will be checked in free of charge in the hold
  • Babies do not have their own seat as standard and travel on one of the parents’ laps


Children (from 2 years old)

  • Follow the standard luggage rules as stated above
  • You may bring two free items, including: pushchair, buggy, car seat, child seat or  travel cot. It is not possible to take these on board. They will be checked in free of charge in the hold
