Reimbursement for unused days of the lift pass can normally be claimed through your cancellation insurance. This applies in the following cases:
- Hospitalization for at least 1 overnight stay
- Interrupting the holiday due to medical necessity
- Death or life-threatening situation of a first or second-degree family member (early return).
Please note that this is only possible if the lift pass is listed on the invoice.
Reimbursement for unused days of the lift pass can also be claimed through travel insurance. It is mandatory to first inquire with the ski lift company if you can receive a refund for the unused days due to injury and obtain a statement if this is not the case.
It is also possible that you cannot claim from the cancellation or travel insurance if there is no hospitalization or early return. In that case, you can submit a claim with us via our contact form. For this, it is mandatory to have a statement from the lift company, indicating the date the lift pass was returned and confirming that we will not be charged for the remaining days. Only then can we process such a claim. Without this statement, it is unfortunately not possible to receive a refund for the lift pass.
If a ski resort is (partially) closed due to extreme weather conditions such as heavy snowfall or strong winds, the lift pass is often not compensated. You can check with the lift company to see if any compensation is offered. If so, you can submit a claim with us via our contact form by providing written proof from the lift company.
