What are the terms of the Standard and Premium Exchange Guarantee?

With the Exchange Guarantee, you can rebook your holiday without cancellation fees. There are two types: Standard and Premium.

Standard Exchange Guarantee

• Included with every self-drive package.
• Can be used once.
• Valid up to 6 weeks before departure.

Premium Exchange Guarantee

• Available at an extra cost and must be added separately. 
• Only applicable to self-drive packages
• Can be used twice.
• Valid up to 2 weeks before departure.

General terms for both guarantees

• The Exchange Guarantees only apply to self-drive package holidays.
• You can rebook your holiday to a different destination/departure date, as long as the new holiday is available on our website.
• Rebooking to the exact same holiday is not possible.
• You pay the travel sum valid on the day of rebooking.
• If the new holiday is more expensive, you pay the difference.
• If the new holiday is cheaper, you receive an exchange voucher that is valid for 12 months. This voucher can be used for extras (like luggage, car rental, or insurance), a new holiday, or a refund after 3 months. The exchange voucher is personal and non-transferable.
• You cannot rebook a holiday that has already been cancelled.
• Early booking conditions no longer apply after rebooking outside the early booking period.
• After rebooking, the right to cancel within 3 days (cooling-off period) no longer applies. If you cancel the new booking yourself, the regular cancellation terms apply.
• Extra services you booked directly with the airline (such as seat reservations or baggage) are not covered by the guarantee. You may only get a refund for these if the airline changes your flight.
• Sunweb reserves the right to suspend, end, or take legal action in cases of suspected misuse of the guarantee.
